The Kingston USB 4GB Flash Drive is cheap, fast and easy to carry, ideal for those people who needs simple transportation without extra care like data encryption.

Easy to use, easy to transport. I have had it two months and no problems. I use it to save documents at work. I will probably not have to replace it for years. Great deal for the price. You are crazy if you buy smaller than 8gb

For the price, this thumbdrive is well worth it. The only problem I’ve had with it is that sometimes it takes a long time to copy large files (2gb); and other times, it copies the same files very quickly.

I have been using this particular jump drive for several months now and am quite unhappy with it. I use it as the primary storage of important files that I like to keep with me so I can access them at work or at home. However, it has happened several times now that one or more of my files have become corrupted. Luckily, I back it up regularly on my PC’s hard drive so I haven’t been totally hosed. The previous jump drive I used never had this problem. I’m also not thrilled about how it retracts into the housing, leaving the end open for dust and/or dirt to get into the USB connection. Better to find a product with a real cap to cover the end.

This is a no nonsense thumb drive with 8gb of useable memory. It does exactly what I wanted it for, no less, no more. It would be nice to have some bling but for the price, a good deal.

I use it as device of supports in the office, it is rapid and i never have lost what there I store on it

Have to say that build quality is not solid. fancy cover fell out when I tried to put key-chain thread through: just stick it back, but feel of cheap plastic around. Remind me china design of remote controls: no matter how good the unit, e.g. CD player but supplied remote not user friendly, small buttons, tiny signs overcomplicated reuse of the same buttons, cheap feel and look…
would not recommend. Unless you pay below $10

I’ve had this for a few weeks now with no glitches. Yes, the transfer rate might be a bit slow but that would be my only complaint…

Received in 2 days, did the job superbly. Never had one this large before, sure did all I ask of it.

I love this drive. I backup all of my documents on it! little slow on the first upload, but ever since then worked great. I use it with Microsoft SyncToy. Good program.

What can I say? It’s a thumb-drive that has a bunch of room, and it was inexpensive; And, the cap clips onto the other end, so that you don’t loose it.
I don’t know what people expect? It’s a thumb-drive, and it works. End of story.

I purchased this 8GB drive and now a month later am getting a dialog that the disk is write protected when trying to save or delete files. I never turned any write protection on and this model has no write protection switch on it. This is a huge issue with Kingston as you can find posts all over the net by Googling as well as a KB article on their website, KDT-092405-1. No resolution from Kingston, not even software to access the processer on the drive to disable write protection. their only resolution is that the drive is defective, thats it.

I have had/used this item for about a month now and my experience with it is nothing but positive. It works like a charm and appears to be well designed and constructed. In terms of gb/$ it compares very well with other products on the market. I am glad I made this purchase.

12 months to the day that I bought this on Amazon this drive just stopped working. Had a lot of data on it that I am unable to retrieve… a major loss. While Kingston generally makes good products, make sure you have backups of data you keep on this drive.

Kingston is a name most of us have come to trust, and this flash drive is fast and easy to use - perfect for Windows or Macintosh users. Of course, if you need encryption, you’d best upgrade tot he DataTraveler II; but for daily needs, this is compact and a breeze to use.
